Caring for your wheels and tires goes beyond simply replacing worn out tires and getting your wheels aligned. It requires several different types of maintenance, including proper tire pressure, appropriate lug nuts and locks to protect your valuable wheels, and so much more. Under Pressure: Check Your Tires

Incorrect tire pressure will compromise handling and stability. In the worst-case scenario, improper pressure can lead to tire failure — and a serious accident. Incorrect tire pressure also will affect your comfort, fuel economy, and tire life.

At Charley's Tire and Wheels, we will check the air in your tires via an implanted TPMS Sensor. If your car isn't equipped with one, we can install one for you. This device electronically monitors tire air pressure to ensure proper inflation levels are being maintained and reports this information back to the driver. If tire pressure is low, we adjust accordingly. We will also inspect your valve stems to ensure they are functioning properly and free of wear.

$70 for TPMS that will be programmed and Installed & $35 for Lug Nut kit with lock.

Wheels in Motion

After we check your tires, we will also check your wheels. We personally make sure all wheel lug nuts and locks are firmly secured, and not causing damage. If you purchase new wheels, we will be sure to add spacers or adapters, if necessary, in order to make your wheels stand slightly away from their original mounting surface. This is called offset and gives wheels a slightly more aggressive and unique look.
